Night Seder - middle school

Night Seder provides Middle School students with an additional opportunity to engage in meaningful Torah learning beyond the regular school day in a warm and uplifting environment. Designed to foster a love of learning, strengthen relationships with rebbeim and teachers, and encourage students to continue growing in their Torah learning beyond the regular school day, Night Seder has become a meaningful part of the Middle School experience for many students.

The boys’ Night Seder takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30 PM at Shomrei Emunah Congregation and includes Maariv. Tuesday evenings are led by Rabbi Rothman and Thursday evenings by Rabbi Bennett. Students engage in additional Torah learning in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, with snacks served each evening and hot food on Thursday nights.

The girls’ Night Seder takes place monthly from 7:00-7:45 PM at Pikesville Jewish Congregation and is led by a rotating group of educators. Through meaningful programming, learning opportunities, and time together outside the regular school day, students strengthen their connection to Torah, their teachers, and one another. Refreshments and special treats, including sushi on select evenings, help create a warm and enjoyable environment.

Night Seder is optional and reflects OCA’s commitment to creating opportunities for students to deepen their Torah growth in ways that are meaningful, engaging, and relationship-centered.
