Growing as scholars and leaders
Fourth Grade challenges students to think critically, communicate thoughtfully, and take increasing ownership of their learning. Students begin synthesizing ideas across disciplines while developing confidence as independent learners.
Judaic studies
Students continue refining kriah while applying advanced Chumash skills through L'Havin U'Lehaskil and Lashon HaTorah. New learning includes formal Mishna study using the CoMDAT system, Sefer Yehoshua in Navi, and continued Rashi analysis. Students celebrate their growing Torah knowledge through the Mishna Celebration while deepening tefillah, Parsha, Chagim, and Ivrit.
General studies
CKLA and Windward programs strengthen reading comprehension, structured writing, grammar, vocabulary, research, and discussion skills. Students learn multi-digit multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, measurement, geometry, and problem solving using the Reveal Math curriculum.
Students deepen their understanding through mathematical modeling, strategic problem solving, productive struggle, and discussion, learning to connect concrete representations and visual models to increasingly abstract mathematical ideas.
Mystery Science investigates the human body and brain, plant and animal adaptations, volcanoes and earthquakes, sound waves, energy, and electricity, while Social Studies focuses on American history, inventors, and culminates in an in-depth state project.
