Ohr Chadash Academy believes in the importance of community, and we recognize the role that the media plays in linking OCA to the broader community. Ohr Chadash has been featured on ABC2 news on television, in the Baltimore Jewish Times, BaltimoreJewishLife.com, Baltimore Jewish Home, The Jewish Week, and The Jewish Press.

Mazel Tov to the seventh and eighth grade girls in Mrs. Benzaquen’s Chumash class at Ohr Chadash Academy upon the completion of perakim in Parshas Balak. They celebrated their hard work with a well deserved delicious breakfast at Croustille Cafe.
Over the course of two interactive classroom presentations each, OCA’s sixth, seventh, and eighth grades separately learned from Chayeinu’s expert team of educators what substance use disorder is, focusing on preventative factors.
We celebrated the culmination of our year-long Torah writing project with an overwhelming feeling of simcha, achdut, accomplishment, and appreciation to Hashem for allowing us to reach this milestone!

Ohr Chadash Academy (OCA) is proud to have partnered with Congregation Shomrei Emunah and host over 700 members of the extended Baltimore community for a special Yom Ha’atzmaut event, celebrating Israel’s 74th birthday!
OCA 8th Graders Alina Rosen and Racheli Schwarzenberger recently qualified to participate in the national finals of the Chidon HaTanach competition in New York on May 1.
